David Cossar 1866- 1949
David Cossar was Treasurer of the Mechanics Lodge at Newtongrange and his father-in-law was Secretary (William Pryde) and was one of the first miners to go down in a cage at the Lady Victoria Pit in November 1894 at Newtongrange
David Allan Cossar 1897 - 1983 was Engineer at Gilmerton Colliery
